The 2019 Grape Harvest

5 stars harvest

The weather in 2019 was very changeable.

The vines started growing shoots early, in March, afterwards there was a cold rainy period in late spring, and it rained very little in the summer. From May to August there were quite long periods (7-10 days) with high temperatures considerably above the average for this period.

The vineyards reacted well however, and were in good physiological condition at harvest time. In terms of quality, after the spring period when we were a bit worried, the dry summer permitted healthy grapes with good technological maturity and a development in the ripening phase that was appropriate for all four of our wines.

It was a productive year in terms of both quantity and quality a 5-star harvest!
